About Us

perchandseeds.com is an independent website about backyard birding: bird feeders and seed, smart camera feeders, binoculars, birdhouses and bird baths, and how to attract and identify birds.

Birding gear is full of gimmicks: 'squirrel-proof' feeders that aren't, cameras with blurry photos, binoculars with confusing numbers. Our goal is to explain what works for your yard and the birds near you, and to point out the trade-offs honestly.

Who writes our guides

Articles are published by the perchandseeds.com Editorial Team. We don't invent experts or personas. Where we have personally tested a product, we say so clearly with a “Tested by us” label; everywhere else our recommendations are research-based.
